am I what I always wanted to be … yet

I’ve been thinking about this general question for a while now. I’m experiencing a pretty big spiritual shift in my life… I wasn’t incredibly “spiritual” before. I’d grown up Southern Baptist and worked as a musician in several different churches of different denominations. Organized religion burned me and I’m fortunate it didn’t suck me in. After getting older and wiser and reading a lot of books on spiritual and paranormal topics, my interests are changing. I find it hard now to balance job and my new spiritual life and interests. I’m not sure what I “want to be” and how close I am to being it. What I can tell you is how excited I am for whatever is coming.

Patrick, hi
It’s great to be excited about inner-growth!
I’m not into paranormal activities myself, but I can say that in regards to ‘balancing job and new spiritual life,’ whatever new thoughts you acquire, if you are serious about spiritual growth, it is within the karmic constrainst of your current life that you need to practice applying them.
Enjoy trekking on the path, Patrick,
