I admit it…

I’m an Einstein groupie!

Yes, mesons & quarks do get me all hot & bothered…

I wanted to start out on this new Mystic Pathways blog with why my spiritual beliefs are what they are…rather than just introducing myself again.

If you don’t already know me, I’m Mysticmama, aka; Bambi Watson and I’m pretty well known on the Internet, so if you just google me…I’m sure you will find lots of Bios & other info about me…

Instead, today I would like to talk about one of the greatest Mystics of our modern times…

No…that wasn’t a typo…I said Mystic…

Of course, Albert Einstein was pretty well known for his contributions to science as well…but, it was his ability to find spirituality within science that I found to be some of his greatest work.

Until Einstein, Science was considered a Godless practice. As he began to make a name for himself as a physicist, the public became aware of his scientific determinism. This caused public interest in his views on theological determinism, and whether or not he believed in God.

“I believe in Spinoza’s God, who reveals himself in the lawful harmony of the world, not in a god who concerns himself with the fate and the doings of mankind.” Einstein told Rabbi Herbert Goldstein in 1929.

“My position concerning God is that of an agnostic. I am convinced that a vivid consciousness of the primary importance of moral principles for the betterment and ennoblement of life does not need the idea of a law-giver, especially a law-giver who works on the basis of reward and punishment.” Einstein said in a 1950 letter to M. Berkowitz.

Einstein’s scientific work greatly shaped his own personal spiritual views. Where many scientists found science in conflict with spirituality. Einstein used science to find his own spiritual truths.

Einstein said, “In view of such harmony in the cosmos which I, with my limited human mind, am able to recognize, there are yet people who say there is no God. But what really makes me angry is that they quote me for the support of such views.”

He did in fact believe that his work in quantum physics proved the existence of a higher power, just not the personal & judge mental God that organized Religions use to control the masses.

“”I have repeatedly said that in my opinion the idea of a personal God is a childlike one. You may call me an agnostic, but I do not share the crusading spirit of the professional atheist whose fervor is mostly due to a painful act of liberation from the fetters of religious indoctrination received in youth.” ~ Albert Einstein.

Albert Einstein made some amazing scientific discoveries, but for me, his spiritual discoveries where just as profound.
