A personal reading on my future life path

This week, I began a new stage in my life. I have been doing Reiki healing for a long number of years and over time have self-taught myself in intuitive Reiki. Now, I have been given the opportunity to take this knowledge to a higher level, and at the same time learn Shamanic healing methods. I have held an interest in Shamanism for as long as I have been a Pagan.

Our first class was last night – and I received a message which was verified soon after when another course participant did a journey to discover what I needed. I spent today contemplating that message and wondering where things will lead after I have finished this course – absolutely I intend to finish it.

Contemplations lead to ideas. Ideas which I am letting percolate and choosing not to share at this time.Ideas which will come to fruition in the next 5 years.

However, I did a reading to ask the amulets if I am on the right track in my thinking.

This particular reading shows how sometimes the meaning within the reading is not always the meaning within the pages. Not fully in any case.

My Question: Is ________ the Path I am to be on?

The response from the amulets:

Frog – Speaking out

Nightstar – Fulfillment

Comb – Sef-reliance

Inanna – Self-transformation

Eyes – Inner visions

The first amulet drawn  is telling to to find my voice and speak out. More than that though, this is the frog symbol of Heket. Egyptian Goddess. As midwife of the Gods, she was called upon to aid women in labour – her priestesses may have been midwives, and she was called upon at the time of death to aid in the rebirth of the dead into new lives.  In this regard, it refers directly to the question I have asked.

Next comes the Nightstar – here to tell me I am looking the right direction. Powers are at my control and my dreams here will come true.

Then the Comb – telling me that I am the ultimate controlled of my destiny. I alone am the one to decide if this is what I am to do.

Inanna, Goddess Queen who made the descent to the Underworld. Here again, Her message is very – if I am to pursue this vocation (for a vocation it must be), then I must first make the Descent into the Underworld to retrieve that which is lost just as Inanna did.

Finally, the Eyes – Inner Visions. Not much hidden meaning and symbolism here either. Inner visions are shamanic journeys. And the changes which will come in how I perceive everything around me as I continue on this path.

Am I on the right path? Yes – but it is also my choice on whether to take this path. Or another.

Inanna - Journey to the Underworld

Reiki, Shamanism, and Spirit Guides

I have been doing work recently learning about the Shaman Path and sought words of wisdom from the Amulets. This is what they had to tell me.

Where do I look to learn to live a more Shamanic life?

To walk the path of Ecstasy (Dancing Bird Goddess)

you must – Listen (Sow) to hear what is not being said

you must – See (Owl) through the darkness to what can’t be seen

you must – Look through your Inner Visions (Eyes)

and Trust (Whirlwinds) what cannot be seen

Whirlwinds - Trust the Invisible

Can you guide me to my Spirit Helper/Guardian?

Dolphin – playing, laughter, fun

Inanna – Journey to the Underworld

Spider – Discover my own creativity, look inside myself

Sprouting Seed – the process has been started, new beginnings

Laussel Goddess – Moon time, cycles, let the Spirit Guides come to you in their own time.

Inanna - Journey to the Underworld

Who will guide me as I journey to meet my Spirit Guides over time?

Night Star – Fulfillment

Universal energies are at my command.

Night Star - Universal Powers at your command

Amulet Reading 4

Nile River Goddess — Stand in triumph

Sow — root out and listen

Ewe — self-worth is everything

Triple Spiral – 3 courses of action ahead

Gorgon – transforming anger

The Nile River Goddess stands with strength and in success and triumph to tell you it is time to stand tall. Look at where you have come from and honour the progress you have made.

Sow says to listen carefully not only to what is being said around you, but to what isn’t being said, and to what you are telling yourself. Root out the negative messages and remove them.

Ewe tells you to look to what you have accomplished. You are allowing someone to take your self-worth and power away from you, and that needs to stop.

The Triple Spiral indicates 3 courses of action coming ahead for you. One will lead to the Gorgon and that way will be difficult. You will need to face your own anger and actively work on transforming that anger into something productive. But, if you take this path, you will emerge from the other side triumphant (Nile River Goddess) and a better person for it.

Amulet of the Goddess Circle of Elders

An Amulet Reading

There are different ways of reading the Amulets, using 1, 5, or 7 amulets.

Most often I do a drawing using 5 amulets, putting them before me in a semi-circle like a Council of Elders.

I’ve drawn 5 out now to do a sample reading.

Moon time

Moon time

Cat

Protecting good fortune

Owl

Wisdom of the Darkness

Ewe

Self-worth

Willendorf Goddess

Belonging

Taken as a whole they can give you a good bit of insight and advice, sometimes not the advice you wanted to hear mind you, but good advice none the less.

The Laussel Goddess is reminding you to slow down and take your time, listen to the cycles of your body and the world around you. Look at how your own moods and energy levels are affected by the cycles of the moon.

The Cat is telling you to protect the good things in your life. She is also the bearer of good fortune. You’ve worked hard to get where you are, you’ve earned your good fortunes.Gather around you those people who are happy and supportive of the good in your life, keep close those who can sustain you with encouragement and enthusiasm.

The Owl tells you that these are people you might meet in unusual circumstances , in darkness or unseen. To me, this indicates friends who have never met face to face. Friendships forged through internet connections. Owl will guide you in where you need to go to find these connections.

The Ewe says it’s time to toot your own horn, time to emphasize and encourage the value of your own accomplishments and talents. Your influences and actions have an effect on your environment. If you feel unworthy, who are you deferring your power to? If you think someone else is “better” or more talented, look at it. Practice this very powerful mantra: I AM!

Find your own creative way by listening to your inner voice.

Finally, The Willendorf Goddess tells you that you belong. She has come to tell you that your presence counts. You are important. Take your eyes off “others” and focus on your own bounty, your own good fortunes, your own talents. Avoid comparing yourself with others which will always lead to isolation and loneliness.

Taken all together:

All things in life moves in cycles. As good things and good fortunes come to you, protect them. Gather people near to you in your life who will help you in this. One area where you can do this is through networking via the internet (friends unseen). As you gather people close, learn from them but do not judge yourself by their actions or compare yourself to them. You belong just as surely as any other person, with your own talents and your own skills to offer.
