Amulet Readings by NanLT

I was asked the other day if each of the amulets always has one meaning.

The answer to the question is no. The meanings from the amulets are always variable depending upon the questions being asked (which I don’t always know for a person receiving a reading) and the layout of the amulets.

In a recent reading, we actually saw answers to 2 separate questions within the same layout.  I was able to give the recipient answers to two unspoken questions, one regarding her spiritual path and the other regarding her teenage son.

When I am reading the amulets I focus on the headline meaning of each, combined with my own intuitive feelings on the matter and what amulets are around it. Each builds upon the one before it while the 5th leads back to the first completed a circle.

This past Friday I went to the Shamanic Spirit Circle again. The focus at Starfire Alchemy in all their groups these next two months is the Voice. And the work we did in the Circle followed this theme.

To start, we talked about the Power words can have over us. The words other say to us, positive and negative, and perhaps even more important, the words we say to ourselves. The vibration and resonance of words can have a positive or a negative effect on us. This is beautifully illustrated in a book which Kay passed around. And demonstrating first-hand how a simple word like “Love” or “Hate” can profoundly affect the structure of those crystals.

We then discussed the negative words we tell ourselves. “I can’t” “I don’t know” “I don’t have time” and worked together to come up with a positive replacement. “I am open to abundance” “I have plenty of time” “I am doing it. I have done it”

The words I tell myself too many times “I don’t know” The phrase I now have to replace it “I have an abundance of knowledge.”

To finish up the evening we used drumming to journey to discover our personal Power word. We each in turn them lay in the center of the circle as the others chanting, sang, and otherwise intoned the Power word into us.

Hearing and feeling them being chanted into the center of my being was awe-inspiring, amazing, beautiful.

I decided to use the Amulets to further meditate upon what I had discovered. I drew one out and held it in my hand focusing on it as I fell asleep. The amulet I drew was The Ewe: Self-Worth.

What is it telling me?

At the core of the negative messages I am telling myself: self-worth

The key at my core to changing these to positive messages: self-worth

My task now – to fill my core with positive messages and thus improve my self-worth. I have an abundance of knowledge.

Night star – wish fulfilment

Eyes – seeing what is there

Cow – partnerships, relationships

Sprouting seed – new situations just coming up

Temple – balance,  a new opportunity, a new life path

The Nightstar is telling you to make your wishes, whether through prayer or meditation or wishing upon a star. The energies of the Universe are available to you now. Use them.

The Eyes come next to tell you in part to be careful what it is you wish for. Remember the adage: Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it. Open your eyes to see what is there and what isn’t there. Live in stillness for a short while, just watching doing nothing.  Focus on your intent, know what it is you truly want, then make your wish.

Third of the Goddess Amulets is The Cow.  Sometimes this can indicate a business partnership, but I sense this is more personal,  a spouse or partner.  She is here to remind you that your wish is not being made alone. You need to involve your partner in the wish-making process. It is not your wish individually; it belongs to both of you.

Sprouting Seeds come now to tell you that while you may not be aware of it, the seeds of this wish have already been put into the ground. While you may not be able to see them, they are just beginning to sprout and manifest changes in your life leading you to the wish you will be making.

Finally, The Temple is here to tell you that a new opportunity and a new life path will be presenting itself to you. You have gone through a major time of healing and you are ready to move through the doorway onto a new path.

I don’t get a sense on where this will be leading you, but I do think this will be a major change in your life direction from where you had been heading.

Owl – Wisdom of the Darkness

Changes are coming into your life. They can’t be seen yet, but trust the Owl to lead you through to the other side. Trust your intuition. Step back from situations if you need before making decisions.

Most notable in this layout is the presence of 4 animal amulets. Do you find yourself being drawn to one? Use this time to learn more about that animal. Focus on the animal and listen to what it has to tell you.

I see in these amulets an urge to explore your creative urges. Where this will lead can’t be seen, but trust the Owl to lead you. While you are exploring remember to celebrate and be in the joy of “now” – that is where you will find your own sacred creative self. Doubts come from comparing yourself to others instead of knowing that you have self worth and that you belong.
