Amulet Reading 3

Eyes – all seeing, inner visions

Cow – partnerships

Sprouting Seeds – new start

Whirlwinds – change unseen

Owl – seeing in darkness

The Eyes are showing you new insights into a relationship. Your perception of your relationships with others is going to change. Avoid compulsive actions at the moment. Make sure what you are seeing is really there.

The Cow indicates partnership. This would indicate to me that your new insights are in regards to someone you have a closer relationship or a partnership with.

The Sprouting Seeds indicate that you are in a new and very tender situation at the moment, and need to work carefully. Remove that which isn’t needed, the weeds, but be careful not to lose the plant as well.

The Whirlwinds are telling you to trust what you cannot yet see. Detach yourself from the storms around you, and find the calm in your center-being.

The Owl provides wisdom in the darkness. She will guide you when you cannot see. Listen and watch, with your ears, your eyes and with your heart. Trust your intuition. Again, you are being cautioned to move slowly and carefully consider your actions and words. This isn’t a time for rash or compulsive reactions. It’s a time to consider carefully and trust through the stillness.

Amulet Reading 2

Primal Mother and Child – Infinite Love
Whirlwinds – Trust the invisible
Dancing Bird Goddess – Ecstasy
Sheela-Na-Gig -  Choices
Triple Spiral – Barriers, Boundaries, Possibilities

You spend so much time and energy nurturing others. It’s time to accept some nurturing for yourself. Let the Mother Goddess hold you in Her arms and accept her loving embrace.

There are changes coming which cannot be seen yet. The Whirlwind Amulets are telling you to trust in the Universe. Trust the invisible.

Dancing Bird Goddess says that you have done a lot of soul-searching and have been on a hard journey lately, but you will gain the rewards for this work.  Right now, passions are raised and energy levels are high. You are going through a time of transformation, and you will come out the other side reborn, like the Phoenix from the ashes.

Sheela-na-Gig indicates you have some choices to make. These do not have to be made rashly. It’s okay to look at each decision, each choice. Take it out and examine it from all angles.  Only then, when you are fully ready, does a decision have to be made. Once made, honour those choices. Each one you have made has brought you to where you are now in your life.

Finally, you have the Triple Spiral. This amulet always indicates to me that you have an area in your life which you need to look at more closely. It also indicates there are some difficult decisions which need to be made by you.

Barriers, Boundaries, Possibilities
Divide a sheet of paper into 3 columns.  At the head of the first column, write Naming Barriers. At the head of the second column, write Healthy Boundaries. At the head of the third column, write Creating Possibilities.
Under the first column, write a list of the obstacles which are facing you. Which can you change? Which can you not change? How would you change them? Who are the people involved? What would you want to say to them?
Under the second column, write out what your limits and boundaries are in difficult situations. Where are you saying “Yes” when you want to say “no” or vice versa? What situations are happening around you that cause you to feel uncomfortable? What are your boundaries there? What will you accept and what will you no longer tolerate?
Under the third column, think about the ways you would do things differently in your own life. Look at the way you want to be, not the way you think you should be. Have you been living someone else’s life instead of your own? What would you change and how would you live differently?

As you face these choices and these changes, remember that Mother Goddess is always there to hold you in Her loving embrace. And Trust the Invisible.

Wisdom of the Darkness

The Ewe – Self-worth

It’s time to acknowledge the value of all you have accomplished. You do not have to prove your worthiness.

Willendorf Goddess – Belonging

Have you been feeling disconnected from the world? The Willendorf Goddess is here to remind you that you belong. You have a place and a purpose. Focus on what you have accomplished without comparing yours

elf to others.

Dolphin – Joy/Celebration

Good things are happening in your life. Take the time to rejoice and celebrate. It’s time to play. Find the place of laughter in your heart. There is great healing in laughter without purpose.

Spider - Sacred Creativity

The creativity and sacred dimensions you are seeking are already within you. Even the act of making a cup of tea can be a sacred act if you focus your intent and remain present “in the moment”.

Owl – Wisdom of the Darkness

Changes are coming into your life. They can’t be seen yet, but trust the Owl to lead you through to the other side. Trust your intuition. Step back from situations if you need before making decisions.

Most notable in this layout is the presence of 4 animal amulets. Do you find yourself being drawn to one? Use this time to learn more about that animal. Focus on the animal and listen to what it has to tell you.

I see in these amulets an urge to explore your creative urges. Where this will lead can’t be seen, but trust the Owl to lead you. While you are exploring remember to celebrate and be in the joy of “now” – that is where you will find your own sacred creative self. Doubts come from comparing yourself to others instead of knowing that you have self worth and that you belong.

Amulet of the Day – Sprouting Seeds

New Beginnings

The image seen on this amulet comes from a Cretan seal, once used to press images into wet clay or wax. It is approximately 4,000 years old.  This particular seal may have been used as part of the agricultural and trade business.

The Sprouting Seed indicates that a tender and vulnerable situation may be at hand, the beginning of something new.

You’ve planted your seeds, and given them a healthy environment in which to grow. They are now growing and unfolding in the love and care you have provided. At this time balance is important. Focus on rootedness. Establish your foundations so that they can be built upon.

This is a time to review goals and expectations. Get rid of that which is not relevant to you any more. Thin out those sprouting seeds you don’t want to grow. Get rid of the weeds.

For that which you do leave to grow, trust in the mystery that underlies. A plant cannot grow if you are constantly pulling it up to look at the roots.

Amulet of the Day: Owl

Owl: Wisdom of the Darkness

Wisdom of the Darkness

Owl - Wisdom of the Darkness

The owl was sacred to Athena, Lilith, Blodeuwydd, and other Moon Goddesses. It is a familiar of witches. A traditional symbol of wisdom.

This amulet image comes from a bird mask carved on the lid of a Neolithic water vessel (late 6th millennium BCE). The mouth served as a spout.

The Owl comes to lead you through the darkness. When your way is unclear, she will teach you to see and hear with your psychic senses.

The owl tells you that it is okay to say “I don’t know.”  It is okay to delay decisions until you have gathered all the information you need. “I don’t feel comfortable with what you’ve suggested. I want to think about it and I will get back to you.” Trust your intuition and those inner “vibes”.

See through situations and people to what lies beneath. Get to the truth.

Find a balance between intellect and emotion to clarify a situation.
